Hi friends! How’s your workout routine going? Are you killing it or is it nonexistent? My was pretty good for a few solid months, then I got bronchitis and could. not. do. it. Ugh. #life So, now that it’s May… new month, new you.. er, me.
I asked my husband if he would be my personal trainer. If you know him, you probably just laughed out loud. When I say “personal trainer” I really just mean my accountability partner. Someone has got to be my encourager. Do you have an actual trainer or a friend that you workout with? Even if you have a regularly scheduled class that you go to, that would help too. Right?
We live just off a trail, so we often take walks and bike rides as a family. I love being generally active in my daily life, but I don’t think that is enough for me. My trainer (read: husband) and I are committing to getting workouts in at least every other day. I’ll let you know how good of a job we do.
I’ve always hating running, and against my better judgement I gave it another chance a few months ago. Nope. Still hated it. For now, I’m going to stick heavily to yoga and cycling. Yoga makes me feel so strong. I know everyone thinks its just stretching, but you build so much strength too. Plus, my husband and I have a couples yoga class coming up. We’ve got to get our practice on!
Like always, cute and comfy workout clothes help my commitment level. As I’m striving toward this goal, I’ll keep on grabbing great pieces from Walmart. Like this Danskin Now split back tank… so soft, super cute, and only $6.84. (In stores and online!)
