I’m due with baby #3 on November 9th, but because baby #2 came ten days early, we are on high baby-alert here at the Jerkins household. People keep asking me if I’m ready for her to get here, and the answer is both yes and no: yes, I am physically ready for her to be on the outside rather than inside… nine months is a long time people! But ‘no’ because her nursery is far from ready, what with work deadlines and the two-dozen other unfinished projects inside our house. Luckily, she’ll have no idea that there are paint rollers and putty knives all over the place.
However, I do have the basic essentials covered like DIAPERS! Newborns go through them rather quickly, so it’s nice to go ahead and have a stockpile on hand. With my first two babies, I used Pampers® Swaddlers® and loved them! Truly. They are the softest diapers of any diaper we used and, of course, I love the “wetness indicator” strip (it saves me from having to stick my nose and/or hand near fresh tee-tee). There also is a sentimental attachment to their scent, because they remind me of the early days with my boys. Plus its a cinch for me to pick up a pack when I’m already shopping at Walmart.
Oh who cares about deadlines and unfinished projects, let’s just get that baby doll here! Eeek! I can’t wait to meet her!
