Summer is our “backyard hangs with friends” season. We love entertaining our friends and family on summer nights which almost always ends in a firefly hunt.

I do love to feed my guests and am the queen of keeping it simple/easy. Here’s my go-to for a successful summer evening:

  • Pick up a pound or two of pulled pork from a local BBQ restaurant (we have an awesome one right around the corner)
  • grab some lettuce and buns to give the option of pork salad or sandwich
  • pick up a few toppings that work with either option
  • Watermelon because…summer
  • Easy sides like chips
  • Popsicles for the kids!

Simple enough right? Ok lean in because here is my secret ingredient to make my backyard BBQ stand out from the rest:

GOTCHU Korean Hot Sauce.

You guys, GOTCHU is so good, you’ll want to add it to EVERYthing. Right now I am loving it on pulled pork but can’t wait to try it on my morning eggs too! This Korean hot sauce has a slow and lingering heat that is not too spicy but adds delicious flavor to the food. I’m a Louisiana girl so I LOVE hot sauce and this one will now be a pantry staple for me. The star of this sauce is ‘Gochujang,’ a traditional Korean chili pepper paste made with sun-dried chilies (Gochu) that are fermented to bring the slow heat. Introduce your guests to the joy of a pulled pork sandwich with GOTCHU hot sauce and they won’t forget it!

I mentioned BBQ and eggs but really, there’s a million foods that would be leveled up by GOTCHU. For example, chicken, pizza, veggies, fried rice, dumplings, salads, etc. It comes in Classic and Extra Spicy.
