We are so glad you are here! Styling outfits for the summer is especially fun this year with all of the amazing pieces Walmart has to offer. Take a look below at some some additional outfits we LOVE but couldn’t squeeze them into the magazine. Let us know what pieces are your faves!
Bethany’s Looks: Dresses that are perfect for any summer day!
The thing I love about dresses is that they never let you down. Ha! They’re so comfortable, especially with summer heat. Also, you can dress them up or down. You could throw either of these on with slides and head to the pool, or you can style them with heels and head to church or out for a date night. You can even wear them with tennis shoes and head to the farmer’s market. If you’ve ever experienced a strong gust of wind in a flouncy dress, might we recommend some slip shorts? Biker shorts work well too- both are like cart wheel shorts for adults! 😉
Time and Tru knocked it out of the park with the quality of this midi dress. The linen fabric feels very high end, and the button front style is adorable. The straps are adjustable, which is always appreciated. Cinch the drawstring waist, to add some shape and you’re all set. The shoes I’m wearing are available in Walmart stores, but here is a similar pair that would work just as well. The geo-dyed print is lovely! It also comes in a green color way. Zoom in on the image to peep last year’s parrot earrings by Time and Tru. Available in stores in a pastel color scheme this season. So fun!
Nothing says summer like yellow seersucker! This Time and Tru dress is comfy, but looks polished and feminine with the tiered style. I paired it with these cool sandals with a slight platform sole. The insole is so soft! Top off the look with this raffia headband by Hairitage by Mindy. I’m picky about headbands, because they can be uncomfortable. This one is perfectly comfortable! Yay!
Amanda’s Looks: Comfy but Polished
If we’ve learned anything over the last couple of years, it’s that comfy is king! I love to pull together looks that are on trend but also wouldn’t mind wearing all day. These two outfits are perfect for everything from casual hangs to girls night out.
I’m in love with this statement top by Free Assembly. The details and fit are amazing. I paired it with my favorite easy linen pants by Time&Tru and it would also be adorable with denim shorts. Back to those pants! They are a staple in my wardrobe for summer. Light and airy yet polished, everyone should have a pair or two. (I also have a chambray pair!) Speaking of polish, I feel like the addition of the structured hat and lilac braided heels really level up the outfit.
This romper is a nod to vintage with an updated fit. It can be worn as a cover up or an outfit and I’ll be wearing it as both! The terrycloth is so comfy and I love the playful stripes. Add a colorful bandanna for a dash of color and a patterned pool slide and you’ll be ready for either a trip to the farmers market or a beach day.
