With all the sautéing, baking, and cooking we do at home, we keep lots of different oils on hand. The one we reach for most often is Chosen Foods Avocado oil. We use it in/on almost everything. They use an expeller-press method that extracts the maximum amount of oil without applying excess heat or chemicals.
Sautéing vegetables, frying chicken, salad dressings, or dip- it’s such a great oil! Here’s why… Avocado oil has a neutral flavor, so it won’t overpower your dish. It has a high smoke point, meaning you can heat it up to around 500 degrees! Plus, we all know avocados give us the healthy fats.
With fall in the air, we love to curl up on the couch under some cozy blankets and watch a movie, but we can’t do that without popcorn. Here’s our go-to popcorn recipe. We make this multiple times a week- it’s a fam favorite!
Stovetop Popcorn Recipe:
1 TBS Chosen Foods Avocado Oil
1/3 c popcorn kernels
Seasoning of your choice
Add the avocado oil and popcorn kernels to a large pot and turn the burner on medium-high heat. Once hot enough, the kernels will start popping. Watch and listen for popping to slow. Once pops are about 3 seconds apart, remove from the heat. Pour the popped kernels into a large bowl. You can’t go wrong with sea salt, but you can get adventurous and try Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, pepper, or even honey. Enjoy!
