Hi friends, Bethany here! Sometimes, I have been mommin’ it so hard that I need a little reset. Maybe I’ve been killing it at being a mom and I treat myself, maybe I’ve been fumbling this mom job and I need to step back and gain some perspective, or maybe I am just completely maxed out on all things life related and I need to get my mind off of it all with a good read. Either way, the best time for me to do that is in the peace and quiet of my minivan (mega fun, am I right?) during school pick up. My daughter is a walker, so I don’t have to sit in the actual pick up line. #winning
I get there a little early, park up the street from her school, and sit in my quiet sanctuary reading a book, while enjoying a beverage (that I don’t have to share) like Snapple® Takes 2 to Mango™ Tea. You might be thinking, “How is this gloriousness possible when you have two daughters, Bethany?” My husband works from home as well, so while our youngest is napping, I volunteer to pick up our oldest from school. High fives all around! The newest Snapple flavor of tea, Takes 2 to Mango, not only has a fruity and delicious flavor, but it’s tea y’all. So, I get that little bit of caffeine, exactly what I need in the afternoons. After a small chunk of time to myself and a little boost from my Snapple Mango Tea, I am ready to tackle the rest of the day… which, as most of you know, is the most difficult portion of every day. (I will never understand why 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM is the most challenging part of each day.) How do you reset your day?
Hey Lovelies, Amanda here ~
Some days (read – EVERY day over here) you just need a reset. Afternoon is the best time for me to mentally and physically take a deep breath and do something that may be work, but doesn’t necessarily feel like work. One of my favorite tasks to do is peruse Pinterest for inspiration. As some of you may know, Bethany and I have our own clothing line sold exclusively on Walmart.com. We work on the collections months in advance and are always looking for things to add to that secret pin board she and I share. To really trick myself into working on gathering inspiration, I grab my iPad, a Snapple and head to my bedroom during the kid’s nap time. Sometimes I use my awesome parenting bribery on myself, and it gets me every time. You know what I’m talking about. I’ll say to myself, “Amanda, if you get x,y,z done, then you can ‘work’ from your bed AND you can have a Snapple Takes 2 to Mango Tea”. It’s delicious y’all and to be honest, I’m not even that big of a mango person so if it’s one of your fave fruits, this is going to send you over the edge. So good! Oh and the fact that there’s a little caffeine is not lost on me. In fact, I NEED the caffeine y’all. I won’t name names but the youngest member of our family is not a fan of sleeping much at night so you know, the caffeine helps me survive. On that note, if anyone has any magic baby sleeping tricks, help a sister out! Ha!
Grab a Snapple Takes 2 to Mango Tea next time you are in Walmart for only $1 per bottle.
