It’s Halloween Pizza Party Time!

Halloween Pizza Party

Halloween Pizza Night

Savory food for Halloween? We say absolutely! Here’s the trick: Have the kids load up on these fun foods before they go door to door, and it will keep them from sampling too many sweet treats along the way.

Alfredo Mummy Mini Pizzas

Alfredo Mummy Mini Pizzas

Makes 8 Servings

4 pre-sliced round thing sandwich rolls, from 12 oz pkg., such as Brownberry Sandwich Thins

¾ cup Alfredo pasta sauce

¼ tsp. dried Italian seasoning

40 pepperoni slices

12 slices deli-sliced mozzarella cheese, about 8 oz., cut into ½-in.-wide strips

16 small pieces black olives

Prep the Pizzas

Preheat oven to 425°F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil; coat with cooking spray. Place sandwich thin halves, cut side up, on a pan; spread each with 1 Tbs. sauce. Sprinkle with seasoning; top with pepperoni slices.

Assemble the Pizzas

Spread remaining sauce over pepperoni, about ½ Tbs. per sandwich half. Bake until hot and bubbly, about 5 minutes. Arrange cheese on top in a crisscross pattern, cutting to fit if necessary; bake to melt slightly, 3-5 minutes. For eyes, top with olive pieces.

Ghostly Good Pizza

Spread your favorite frozen cheese pizza (we love Home Run Inn Ultra Thin Cheese Pizza) with a thin layer of pizza or tomato pasta sauce; bake according to package directions. Meanwhile, using ghost-shaped cookie cutters, cut out shapes from thin slices of mozzarella cheese. Top pizza with the mozzarella ghosts and return to the oven. Heat until cheese is slightly melted, 1-2 minutes. Cut pitted black olives into halves, slivers, and tiny pieces. For spiders, arrange olive halves and slivers on pizza. Create ghost faces with tiny pieces of olives. Sprinkle with chopped basil.
