Hey ladies! Adam here (Bethany’s husband) to talk about date night. So the Mrs. and I are 9 years and 2 kids deep into our marriage and we understand the importance of a good date night. The key to a getting it all started is by not smelling like garbage. This means I take a shower. I am sort of a diva about my body wash. I spend a significant amount of time in the soap aisle sniff-browsing various items to find the perfect scent. Recently, I came across this Old Spice body wash and am slightly obsessed with it. The flavor (scent) de jour for me is the Pure Sport Plus. Fair warning, using this product will have you whistling the Old Spice jingle from the commercials while in the shower. I also like how they don’t bother putting any words on the bottle like “moisturizing” or “nourishing”. These words make no impact for a guy shopping for body wash. It does claim to be a “Dirt Destroyer”. This intrigues me and conjures up a hilarious cartoon visual in my mind. I buy body wash by using the following thought process: Does it smell good? Yes? I’ll take it!

After I was confident that I smelled like a million damn dollars, I exit the shower, get dressed, and touch up my beard. So that I don’t look like Teen Wolf, I make sure to clean up the neckbeard (fellas, you know what I’m talking about) and the sides. It seems like all razor companies do is add more blades every few months. I am good with 5 blades. I’ve been using the Gillette Fusion ProShield for a while now. On the random occasion when I get a wild hair (pardon the pun) and decide to shave the whole thing off, I need something that I know won’t get dull halfway through chopping down my face forrest. It has some swivel ball thing that makes it super easy to maneuver around my face. But I digress…

In our most recent date night, Bethany and I got together with another couple who was desperate for a night away from children and went to a local watering hole for some appetizers and drinks. Confession: I strategically placed myself so that the other husband and I could watch the football game. Please don’t tell Bethany. Wait, she is probably reading this.

Anyspray…I’d like to say, Bethany did a top notch job of trying to understand/pay attention to the outcome of the football game. #gosports

After our night out with our friends, I got home to realize that my clothes and beard smelled remarkably like fried pickles and bar food. Being the diva that I am (see previous statement about this), I decided that I needed a second shower! I needed to recapture that pre-game scent that I love so much. I’m telling you, this Old Spice body wash is my jam!
