Time to Update Your Living Space?
Seasons are changing and sometimes that brings the urge to nest. When you get the inevitable itch to update your space (any space!) it doesn’t have to be expensive or extensive. Also, you don’t have to use seasonal decor. Changing out accessories like lamps, rungs, pillows, wall decor, and small accent pieces can give your room the lift in design that it’s needing. These changes will last longer than one season and they won’t break the bank. Especially with this curated collection of neutral home decor from Walmart. Pull in a Variety of Materials
Neutral decor doesn’t have to mean boring decor. Pull in a variety of materials to create interest. Woven pillows and throws, natural elements like wood or wicker, or unique shapes will all do the job. Rearrange the pieces you already have and love, then mix in some new items. This works really well on bookcase shelves and coffee tables- any surface really.
Use Complementary Tones
Woven pillows and throws in a neutral color scheme work well with most sofa or chair colors. Just make sure the tones complement each other. A lumbar pillow works well on a long sofa, bed, or chair and a half. The Better Homes and Gardens blanket we linked is one of my favorites. It’s so soft and the design is lovely.
Incorporate Natural Elements
Natural elements are easy to pull in. The arched wooden clock looks great on a shelf, bookcase, mantel or sofa table. It’s simple and adorable. On coffee tables and shelves, sometimes it helps to corral items. The scalloped edge rattan tray is perfect for this job.
Add Unique Shapes
Adding unique shapes to a room is one of my favorite design elements. The Beautiful by Drew Hobnail lamp is perfectly unusual. Plus, it’s rechargeable so you can even put it inside a bookcase. Taper candle holders with led candles are user friendly and work well in so many different places. The mushroom lamp is battery operated, so you can put it anywhere- even if it isn’t near an outlet. I have one on my kitchen countertop. Its glass reminds me of Italian glass lamps I saw in vintage shops in Milan.
